La Wax Noir has become La Wax Argent

My reinterpretation of the famous French Le Chat Noir Painting - The Black Cat

When making your own small batch products, sourcing packaging in New Zealand can be a challenge.

Early iterations of Selby & Leo Beeswax came in silver/brushed aluminium finished tins. Until I discovered you could get the same tins in black.

The black tins worked well with my orange labels, however, the supply always seemed to be on shaky ground. Sometimes they were out of stock for weeks on end and I couldn't find any alternate suppliers.

I tried ordering a batch from overseas, only to have more than half of them damaged in shipping.

Recently, I went to restock my black tins, only to discover that the supply has now officially dried up…

So we're back to where I started, with the old silver tins.

Don't worry, the wax formula hasn't changed. Just the colour of the tins.
