Tool Wax – helps prevent rust on your precious tools
Selby & Leo Tool Wax is spreadable paste made from beeswax, locally sourced from beekeepers.
Whether you've just bought a brand new tool, freshly restored a tool, or for general maintenance - a regular coating of Selby & Leo Tool Wax can slow the rusting process.
Beeswax has natural water resistant properties, so by coating your tools with a fine layer of wax, it provides a moisture barrier, thus reducing the chance of rust.
Workshops, Garages and Sheds aren't exactly climate controlled moisture free environments – so over time your steel and cast iron tools are going to get surface rust...which, if left untended, will eventually turn into pitting and then further deterioration.
Use it on anything from axes and saws to hand-planes and chisels.
You'll find tool wax can have many other uses around your workshop; including freshening up wooden tool handles, lubricating squeaky wooden drawers, even using it on screw threads or nails, making them easier to drive in. It's also good on tablesaw and router table tops so that material slides over them more smoothly. You can even use this stuff to freshen up the leather on your work boots.
Apply Selby & Leo Tool Wax with a soft rag. Leave to dry for 10 – 20 minutes. Wipe off any excess wax. Then buff with a clean cloth.
200gram tin (approx 225mls)
